Purpose of this site

These pages describe, in general terms, how concrete and asphalt paving is built and repaired, the particular ways Gulf Coast clay, heat and heavy rain wear it down, and the usual order of operations for the work. The site also connects property owners in the Houston area with a contractor working the area.

General information, not professional advice

Nothing here is engineering opinion or legal opinion, and nothing here indicates how a given city, county or homeowners association will treat a given property. It sets out how this category of work ordinarily proceeds.

Soil, drainage, permitting practice and neighborhood rules differ from property to property, and the authority having jurisdiction is the only authority on its own rules. The absence of pricing

No page here states a price and no price should be read into anything on the site. Cost is determined by the contractor once the property has been seen, because that is the earliest point at which the question has a real answer.
